FAQ

  • How many weddings do you take in one day?
Unlike many bridal companies who book multiple brides in a day, we book only ONE wedding per day per artist. We believe when booking a brides most special day, our undivided attention is for her, and her only. There is no need to take a chance running late to your wedding, because we were at another wedding. OR rushing off from your wedding to go do another bride. We pride ourselves in our dedication to our commitment to our brides. Quality over Quantity.
  • How do I book my wedding?
In order to book your wedding, we require a signed contract, and a $200 non refundable retainer. The $200 retainer is deducted off the balance of the wedding.
  • How far in advanced should I book my wedding hair and makeup?
Wedding hair and makeup should be booked ideally 6-12 months in advanced. Any less than 6 months, there is a lower chance a great hair/makeup artist will still be available. Still feel free to reach out with your date, we may be open!
  • Can I book my trial run before I book my wedding?
Absolutely! However, booking a trial run does not secure your wedding date and your wedding date will still be open to other brides who are eager to book. If another bride is interested in booking your date pending your trial, we will reach out to you and give you the opportunity to book your date, or cancel your trial. In some cases, based upon artist availability we can book you with a different artist. Note: Most brides secure their date before doing a trial.
  • When and where are trial runs held?
Trial runs are held at the studio in Cypress, TX. They are held Monday-Thursday 8AM-1PM. We may be able to accommodate a weekend trial, as long as we are not booked with a wedding. Weekend trials may be rescheduled to a later time of day/during the week due to last minute wedding bookings.
  • When is the best time to schedule my trial?
The best time to schedule your trial is within 3 months to your wedding. Reason being, if you do your trial too soon your hair/skin may not be the same as your wedding day. You want your skin, and hair color/length to be as close as possible to the wedding day. If booked too soon, many times brides change their mind on the style, and end up coming back in for a second trial.
  • Are trials included in your rates?
Trials are not included in our rates, and are a separate service from wedding day services.
  • Will the same person who did my trial do my wedding?
Of course! Whomever you had your trial with, will be doing your wedding hair/makeup.
  • Where are you located?
Our home base is in Cypress- Houston, TX- and travel to your location of choice.
  • What time would we need to start hair/makeup the morning of my wedding?
The start time is determined by the time the photographer is arriving. We finish 30 minutes prior to your photographers arrival, so you can start bridal party photos and are ready to go. Once booked, and I have the exact information needed such as the final head count, number of artists needed, and photographer arrival time- then we send you over a schedule for the morning of your wedding.
  • How many people can TXGLAM handle?
We can handle any size bridal party. There is no bridal party too small, or too big. We have a team of artists, and depending on your final head count with services, we will know exactly how many artists will be needed to accommodate you and your bridal party. Each artist can do approximately 6 services each.
  • Do you offer packages?
We have 4 different packages available to choose from. We bundled services/add ons into the perfect bridal packages, based on what we've seen brides want/need. Not only are these packages are our best sellers, they are marked 10% off. They are not mandatory, you can still book a la carte services.
  • How long do services take?
We book 45 minutes per hair/45 minutes per makeup per bridesmaid/mom, and 1-1.5 hours per hair/1-1.5 hours per makeup for the bride.
  • Are lashes and airbrush included?
Lashes and airbrush are included in our rates at no additional cost.
  • Do you do airbrush makeup?
The term "airbrush makeup" has changed a bit since the early-mid 2000's. The airbrush gun with loud compressor is a thing of the past, and outdated. We take the modern approach, and apply airbrush makeup out of a can type product directly onto a beauty blender. This technique is 100x better, as it packs in the product to the skin from the beauty blender. We do a combo of traditional foundation, and airbrush this way. Combining these two benefits offers a full coverage look, with the airbrush makeup benefits. This is what is pictured in our photos. Note: Airbrush makeup only does not provide full coverage, and you will still see your flaws/skin underneath.
  • Can you stay for touch ups/hair change?
Absolutely! We offer touch ups/optional hair change at an additional fee, based upon artist availability.
  • Do you have a minimum of services to book?
We have a minimum of 4 adult services per artist. *Hair is 1 service/Makeup is 1 service.
  • Are there any hidden fees?
We believe in transparency, and do not believe in marking services so low to reel you in- to only mark up by adding in lashes/airbrush. This is why we include them at no additional cost. The only additional fees would be a travel fee per artist, valet parking/parking garage if incurred, hair extensions, holiday fees, and an additional artist fee if requested on a small party. All fees will be outlined in the contract before you sign and agree.
  • I want natural makeup/simple curls-a very simple look. Is it cheaper?
No. Our rates are not determined by the amount of makeup/hair products we use. Whether you are going for a more natural look, or glam look- the same exact steps are taken to achieve what you are seeing in our photos. Just different colors/techniques are used.
  • My bridal party is paying for themselves, can they pay you directly?
No. We accept one payment in full. Many times, the bridal party Zelle's the bride, and the bride pays us in one payment.
  • What form of payment do you accept?
We accept Zelle or all major credit cards. There is a 3.5% processing fee per credit card transaction.
  • What are your office hours?
Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 8AM-6PM. Emails and inquiries sent on the weekend will be replied to on the next business day.
  • How do I reach you?
The best way to reach us is through EMAIL. We service over 100 brides per year, and communicating elsewhere (Text/Call/Instagram etc) information can be lost. Communicating through one platform keeps information streamlined and no room for errors.
